Leavitt Makes Shocking Trump Confession

Press Secretary Backs Trump’s Plan to Crush Democrat Obstruction Once and For All

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stunned Washington this weekend after throwing her full support behind President Donald Trump’s call to abolish the Senate filibuster, calling it the only way to stop radical left Democrats from holding America hostage.

Leavitt appeared on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo, where she confirmed President Trump had spoken with Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) about the plan.

“President Trump is 100% right,” Leavitt declared. “We’re dealing with radical-left Democrats who have shut our government down and held the American people hostage for 32 straight days.”

The fiery statement came as frustration grows nationwide over the ongoing government shutdown, which has left millions without essential services. Leavitt blasted Democrats for blocking efforts to reopen the government, accusing them of prioritizing illegal immigrants and left-wing pet projects over hardworking Americans.

“Democrats have shown zero willingness to reopen the government,” she said. “They’re more focused on handing out taxpayer money to illegal immigrants. President Trump and Republicans are up against people who’ve completely lost touch with reality.”

Leavitt went further, saying the filibuster must go if America wants to move forward:

“President Trump has urged Republicans to stand firm, act strategically, and use every tool available to serve the American people. Doing away with the filibuster, he believes, is the key to ending the gridlock.”

She emphasized that both polling data and common sense show Americans are ready for the shutdown to end — and they overwhelmingly support Trump’s leadership in pushing back against Washington insiders.

Just one day earlier, President Trump took to Truth Social, calling on Republicans not to be “WEAK AND STUPID” and demanding they “TERMINATE the filibuster” to end the partisan gridlock once and for all.

“It’s time to stop letting the Radical Left run this country into the ground,” Trump wrote. “America deserves action — not excuses.”

With the shutdown now entering its second month, Leavitt’s comments reflect a growing determination inside the Trump White House to confront the obstructionist tactics that have long crippled Congress.

As President Trump often reminds his supporters: “When I say we’ll drain the swamp, I mean it.”
