President Donald Trump’s appearance at Game 3 of the NBA Finals generated plenty of attention Wednesday night, but it wasn’t just the president who had fans talking.
As thousands packed Madison Square Garden for one of the biggest sporting events of the year, Trump arrived with a high-profile group of family members, senior White House officials, and trusted advisers. One unexpected guest, however, quickly became a major talking point.
Trump attended the game as a guest of New York Knicks owner James Dolan. The two were seen together throughout the evening in a private luxury suite overlooking the court.
Trump was also accompanied by his granddaughter, Kai Trump, who has increasingly stepped into the public spotlight in recent years. Throughout the evening, she was often seen at her grandfather’s side.
At halftime, the White House released the full list of guests who accompanied President Trump to the NBA Finals.
The group included Vanessa Trump along with several top administration officials.
Joining Trump for the event were Doug Burgum, Steven Cheung, Sean Duffy, Steve Witkoff, Lee Zeldin, and Dan Scavino.
But another name on the guest list drew particular interest.
According to NewsNation reporter Libbey Dean, Jared Kushner was also spotted inside Trump’s suite during the game.
Kushner’s appearance was especially noteworthy given his long-standing role in major diplomatic efforts involving the Middle East. His presence alongside Special Envoy Steve Witkoff comes as the Trump administration continues to focus on key international negotiations and regional stability efforts.
The sight of Kushner and Witkoff together immediately fueled discussion among political observers, many of whom have closely followed the administration’s foreign policy initiatives.
Meanwhile, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick was also in attendance at Madison Square Garden. Lutnick watched much of the game from a courtside seat before later making his way to Trump’s suite, where he joined the growing group of administration officials and family members.
The gathering showcased the influential circle surrounding President Trump as he balances public appearances, political responsibilities, and major policy initiatives.
While the action on the court captured headlines, the roster of high-profile figures inside Trump’s suite became a story of its own. With senior cabinet officials, trusted advisers, family members, and key diplomatic figures all in attendance, the president’s NBA Finals visit offered a rare look at the people closest to him during one of the most consequential periods of his presidency.
As new developments continue to emerge from the White House and on the international stage, the appearance of several of Trump’s most trusted allies in one place is likely to keep political observers paying close attention.
