President Donald Trump is once again proving he has America’s back — and that includes our farmers.
If commodity exports like pork and soybeans continue to decline, especially to China, the Trump administration is prepared to act swiftly to safeguard American agriculture, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins confirmed on Sunday.
Speaking on CNN’s State of the Union, Rollins stated, “Our prayer is that it won’t come to that — but if it does, we are 100% prepared, just as we were during President Trump’s first term.”
During President Trump’s first administration, tens of billions of dollars in farm aid were distributed to hardworking farmers to offset the impact of China’s unfair trade tactics. Rollins made it clear that today’s situation is being monitored daily, with full contingency plans ready if needed.
“We are watching the situation and analyzing it every single day,” Rollins said. “I’m in constant conversations with leaders on Capitol Hill to ensure we have the funding to protect our farmers — because food security is national security. Protecting the farmer means protecting the American Dream.”
Biden’s Economy Continues to Harm American Families
Meanwhile, Rollins delivered some much-needed good news for American shoppers: egg prices are finally starting to fall in parts of the country, with broader price relief on the way.
Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, the wholesale price of eggs has dropped a staggering 58% in just six weeks. Retail egg prices, which soared to an all-time high of $6.23 per dozen under the Biden administration, are now steadily declining.
“When President Trump returned to office, egg prices had increased 237% under Biden’s disastrous policies,” Rollins said. “But now, we’re seeing real progress. In many regions, grocery shoppers are already seeing lower egg prices, and others will soon follow.”
Rollins reassured the nation that President Trump’s team is working tirelessly to reverse the damage caused by the previous administration — from stabilizing food prices to defending the farmers who feed our country.
In President Trump’s America, the farmer, the rancher, and the everyday citizen come first. And that’s exactly how it should be.
