Trump Makes Huge July 4th Change

In a big win for freedom-loving Americans, Iowa lawmakers have passed a fireworks bill that perfectly aligns with President Donald J. Trump’s bold vision for our nation’s 250th Independence Day celebration.

The Heartland is Ready—and Iowa Just Fired the First Shot of Patriotism.

Earlier this year, President Trump signed a powerful executive order launching the Salute to America 250 Task Force—which he chairs himself. His goal? Nothing short of the most spectacular celebration in U.S. history on July 4th, 2026.

From a military parade to a national sculpture garden honoring American heroes—and even a Great America State Fair—Trump is putting patriotism front and center again.

And Iowa is answering the call.

This week, the Iowa House passed legislation ensuring that local governments can no longer ban fireworks on July 3rd, July 4th, or New Year’s Eve. That means more freedom for Iowans to light up the sky and honor America’s birth.

Fireworks are now protected—and just in time for the nation’s 250th birthday.

Rep. Bill Gustoff (R-Iowa), who led the charge on the bill, made it clear: “This is about allowing the unwary, patriotic American in Iowa to celebrate legally. Mr. President, we’re ready, willing, and able to host the party.”

Trump’s vision also includes:

  • A grand military parade for the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday on June 14—which also happens to be Trump’s birthday.
  • A national fairground exhibit hosted at the iconic Iowa State Fairgrounds.
  • Monuments and statues honoring the giants of American history, including President John F. Kennedy, in a new sculpture garden.

Trump reaffirmed his commitment in a video message:
“Two hundred and fifty years of American independence. What a great country—and we have to keep it that way.”

Not everyone was thrilled. Democrat Rep. Eric Gjerde tried to strip personal fireworks from the bill, arguing local governments should control celebrations. His amendment failed.

In a time when freedom, faith, and family are under attack, this bill is a refreshing reminder that some states still stand tall for traditional American values.

The legislation now heads to Governor Kim Reynolds, a strong ally of President Trump, who is expected to sign it without hesitation.

👉 Get ready, America. With Trump leading the way and states like Iowa stepping up, July 4, 2026 is set to become a fireworks-filled celebration of American greatness.
