Trump-Hater McConnell Voted Out Of Congress?

The Republican establishment just got a wake-up call. Kentucky businessman and longtime Trump supporter Nate Morris has launched a powerful campaign to replace outgoing Senator Mitch McConnell—one of Washington’s most notorious anti-Trump insiders.

Morris made his announcement Thursday on Triggered with Don Jr., the hit podcast hosted by Donald Trump Jr. During the episode, Morris made it clear: he’s ready to clean house in D.C.

“It’s time to take out the trash in Washington,” Morris declared. “The people of Kentucky deserve someone new—someone who isn’t a career politician and doesn’t owe favors to the McConnell machine.”

McConnell, 82, confirmed earlier this year that he won’t seek re-election in 2026. After decades in power, many conservatives say his time has run out. Despite calling himself a Republican, McConnell often opposed key Trump policies and sided with the Washington elite.

Now, Morris is running as a true America First conservative, pledging to fight for the Constitution, secure the southern border, and defend traditional American values.

But the GOP primary won’t be a cakewalk.

Rep. Andy Barr (R-Ky.) slammed Morris for his checkered political past.

“He gave $5,000 to Nikki Haley, pushed radical diversity and equity programs, and even brought in campaign managers tied to Obama and Kamala Harris,” Barr said in a statement. “Now he wants to act MAGA? Voters deserve the truth.”

Morris is expected to face off against Barr and former Attorney General Daniel Cameron in what could become one of the most closely watched primaries in the country. On the Democrat side, State Rep. Pamela Stevenson has also entered the race.

What’s Next?

The Kentucky primary is scheduled for May 19, 2026, and it’s already shaping up to be a high-stakes battle between grassroots conservatives and the D.C. swamp.

For millions of frustrated voters, the question is simple: Is Kentucky finally ready to retire Mitch McConnell’s legacy—and replace it with real America First leadership?
