GOP Interrogates Obama

Washington, D.C. — In a bold and unprecedented move, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) has signaled that former President Barack Obama could be subpoenaed to testify before Congress about his administration’s role in the now-discredited 2016 Trump-Russia investigation.

🔴 “If President Obama was involved, he’s not above answering for it,” Johnson told Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody.

Johnson’s comments come after newly released documents from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard revealed troubling evidence of what she called a “years-long coup attempt” against then-President-elect Donald Trump.

🚨 Obama Admin Accused of Orchestrating Political Targeting

More than 100 pages of emails, memos, and reports were released last week, suggesting the intelligence community concluded in December 2016 that Russia had not interfered in the U.S. election to change the outcome.

However, according to these documents, then-President Obama ordered a “comprehensive assessment” just days later—setting the stage for a years-long investigation that conservatives say was politically motivated and based on false narratives.

⚠️ “This wasn’t about protecting democracy,” Johnson said. “It was about undermining a duly elected president.”

🔍 Will Obama, Holder, Brennan Be Called to Testify?

Johnson confirmed that former Obama-era officials, including former Attorney General Eric Holder and ex-CIA Director John Brennan, could also be called before Congress.

🗣️ “We have a duty to follow the evidence—wherever it leads. No one gets a free pass,” Johnson declared.

📉 Trump-Russia Probe Lacked Evidence—But Hurt the Nation

Although the Mueller investigation found that Russian actors did attempt to interfere in 2016, the probe failed to produce any criminal conspiracy charges against Trump or his team.

Conservatives have long said the investigation was a political hit job designed to derail President Trump’s agenda and tarnish his presidency.

🇺🇸 “This wasn’t just about Trump—it’s about the integrity of our institutions,” Johnson warned. “And the American people deserve justice.”

✅ Trump Responds: Ed Martin to Lead Weaponization Probe

In response to the revelations, President Trump has appointed Ed Martin to lead the Justice Department’s new Weaponization Working Group, focused on exposing government overreach and holding former officials accountable.

Gabbard has also stated that more documents will be released in the coming weeks—potentially blowing the lid off what some are calling the largest political abuse of power in modern American history.
