House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has raised the stakes in Washington, suggesting that former Vice President Kamala Harris may soon be forced to testify about what really went on inside the Biden White House. At issue: Joe Biden’s mental decline, questions about who was truly running the country, and the administration’s suspicious use of an autopen to sign official documents.
Comer: Harris Needs To Come Clean
Comer told reporters Thursday that Harris’s testimony could prove vital to his panel’s investigation. “If I were her and wanted a political future, I’d want to set the record straight,” Comer said. “Otherwise, this will haunt her for the rest of her career. Nobody thinks Joe Biden was actually calling the shots.”
Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) has already floated the idea of a subpoena. Comer admitted the odds Harris will be compelled to testify are “very high,” especially now that she’s no longer tied down by other political ambitions.
Biden’s Inner Circle Cracks Under Oath
The Oversight Committee has already questioned multiple Biden insiders. Some came willingly. Others had to be dragged in with subpoenas. And several refused to answer at all.
- Anthony Bernal, Jill Biden’s former chief of staff — pleaded the Fifth.
- Annie Tomasini, Oval Office deputy director — refused to cooperate.
- Kevin O’Connor, Biden’s personal doctor — also took the Fifth.
But others did speak out, including Ron Klain, Neera Tanden, and Ashley Williams, providing damaging testimony about Biden’s limited role.
The most striking revelation came from Ian Sams, a senior Biden adviser who defended Biden daily in press statements. Under oath, Sams admitted he personally spoke with Biden just two times during his entire tenure. Comer blasted the revelation:
“He talked to Joe Biden two times. Two times. Yet he acted like he was speaking for him every single day.”
Harris In The Hot Seat
For Harris, this is a political nightmare. She has long defended Biden’s “fitness for office,” but Comer’s committee believes she helped cover up his decline. Republicans argue that if Biden wasn’t mentally capable, Harris either knew it or looked the other way.
“If she wants a political future, she needs to answer,” Comer warned.
