President Biden’s national vaccine mandate executive orders are being savaged in the courts and the Senate, going largely unenforced, and wracking economic and social havoc where they are implemented.

The Biden administration tried to impose a national vaccine mandate through an OSHA rule requiring businesses with more than 100 employers to have their workers vaccinated against Covid-19 in order to promote “workplace safety.” This move was challenged in the Supreme Court, and the Justices, in a 6-3 decision, struck down the mandate.
In a separate mandate issued in September of last year, the Biden administration required all federal workers to be fully vaccinated. That mandate too has been struck down by a federal judge in Texas.
The courts have made it clear that the US government does not have the power to mandate vaccines across the nation. Vaccine mandates still do exist in the US though, enacted by states, local governments, and private entities.
