In yet another example of how far the radical left will go to mock strong leadership, left-wing activists and anti-Trump influencers have launched a disrespectful meme campaign labeling President Donald Trump as “TACO Trump”—an acronym for “Trump Always Chickens Out.” The smear, spread mostly across social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and TikTok, seeks to distort the president’s America First trade agenda at a time when U.S. manufacturing is finally seeing signs of revival.
On April 2, President Trump introduced a powerful new tariff policy, calling it “Liberation Day” for American industry. The initiative includes a broad 10% tariff on all U.S. imports and strategic tariffs on specific sectors, aimed at reducing the nation’s long-standing trade deficits. The White House emphasized that these changes are essential for securing long-term economic stability, national sovereignty, and American jobs.

Tariffs for Prosperity, Not Popularity
Although Wall Street responded with its usual panic, Main Street America recognizes the long-term benefits of fair trade enforcement. President Trump has never wavered in his mission to bring back American jobs and rebuild the middle class. These tariffs are a direct answer to decades of globalist policies that have drained our industries and enriched our adversaries.
When asked by CNBC’s Megan Casella about criticism from the financial sector—specifically, the term “TACO trade”—President Trump stood his ground. “That’s a nasty question,” he said. “Don’t ever say what you said.” His response struck a chord with many Americans who are tired of media ambushes and double standards.
Social Media Trolls Push Offensive Imagery
Despite the seriousness of the economic issues at stake, far-left social media accounts have launched a viral smear campaign. One Democrat-aligned user with 33,000 followers posted a meme depicting a taco with President Trump’s face. Another with over 160,000 followers posted a digitally altered image of the President made to look like a chicken. The hashtag #TACOTrump quickly began trending, showing how coordinated these online attacks are.
On TikTok, a user posted an AI-generated video showing a chicken-version of the president running through the New York Stock Exchange. These videos, though visually catchy, offer nothing in the way of facts—just more liberal mockery targeting a leader who refuses to back down.
President Trump Remains Unapologetic
“This country was dying,” President Trump said in response to the media criticism. “Six months ago, we had a dead economy. Now, the United States is the hottest economy in the world.” That’s not just rhetoric—it’s a reflection of rising consumer confidence, job creation, and a renewed focus on American-made products.
Bottom Line: America First, No Apologies
While liberal pundits and keyboard warriors try to score cheap points with memes and mockery, President Trump continues to focus on policy that matters. The American people—especially hard-working families and retirees—know that economic freedom, strong borders, and fair trade are worth defending.
President Trump is putting America First. And no amount of hashtags or artificial outrage will change that.
