Media Cooks Up New Trump Scandal

Left-Wing Blogger Attacks Hegseth’s Wardrobe While Ignoring His America First Record

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has long worn his patriotism on his sleeve — literally. From flag lapel pins and red-white-and-blue tie tacks to custom suits lined with the Stars and Stripes, Hegseth’s signature style is a bold tribute to the country he’s dedicated his life to defending.

But now, he’s under fire — not for his leadership, but for where his clothes may have been made.

Leftist Blogger Attacks “Made in Thailand” Label

Derek Guy, a liberal menswear influencer known for his fashion blog Die, Workwear!, recently attempted to shame Hegseth over the origin of one of his suits. Sharing a zoomed-in photo of a jacket label that read “Book A Tailor,” Guy claimed the company produces its suits in Thailand and accused Hegseth of hypocrisy for wearing foreign-made clothes decorated in American imagery.

Guy then snidely offered to help Hegseth find U.S.-based tailors — “for a fee.”

The comments sparked criticism online, with Guy and other left-wing followers claiming that wearing a flag-themed suit lining contradicts conservative values. Some even cited the U.S. Flag Code to argue that incorporating flag imagery into clothing is inappropriate — despite decades of fashion and political precedent.

The Real Hypocrisy: Attacking Patriotism While Ignoring Principles

What critics miss is the bigger picture: Pete Hegseth’s fashion choices are a symbol of patriotic pride, not a manufacturing scandal. While the left obsesses over labels, Hegseth has spent his career defending American values — both in uniform and in government.

He’s not just a man wearing a flag — he’s lived what it stands for.

And while critics point fingers over where a suit was stitched, they conveniently ignore that President Trump and Secretary Hegseth have fought tirelessly to bring jobs back to the United States, protect American industries, and restore pride in the American worker.

Old Glory on Display: Virtue Signaling or True Patriotism?

The real question isn’t about manufacturing — it’s about intention. Hegseth has proudly talked about his “three flag rule,” ensuring he always wears at least three American flags as part of his outfit. It’s a personal tradition meant to honor his country, not impress critics.

Ironically, while Hegseth is being scolded for wearing the flag, the same voices are often silent when leftist celebrities and athletes disrespect the flag outright.

As for the U.S. Flag Code? It’s a non-binding advisory, not a legal restriction — and has long made allowances for lapel pins, patriotic patches, and other respectful displays.

Hegseth Stays Focused: “Never Back Down”

So far, neither Hegseth nor the Department of Defense have responded to the online attacks. But true to form, Hegseth isn’t flinching. His current pinned tweet shows him with a raised fist, captioned: “Never back down. #AmericaFirst.”

It’s clear that while some prefer to nitpick, real leaders like Pete Hegseth stay focused on what truly matters — defending America, honoring the flag, and never apologizing for patriotism.
