Musk Turns Americans Against Trump

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk is urging Americans to take a stand against the massive government spending bill now making its way through Congress—a central piece of President Donald Trump’s second-term legislative agenda.

In a fiery post on X, Musk didn’t mince words:
“Call your Senator. Call your Congressman. Bankrupting America is NOT okay! KILL the BILL.”

The legislation, officially titled the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, narrowly passed the House and is now under intense scrutiny in the Senate. Musk, who recently served as head of the Department of Government Efficiency, warned the bill would skyrocket the national debt and place a crushing burden on future taxpayers.

“This bill is a disgusting abomination,” Musk declared. “Shame on those who voted for it—you know you did wrong.”

Conservative lawmakers agree. Many in the Senate GOP have voiced concern over runaway federal spending, limited budget cuts, and controversial reforms to programs like Medicaid.

Musk didn’t hold back:

“No one who actually reads the bill should be able to stomach it.”

Even House Speaker Mike Johnson seemed blindsided by Musk’s shift. After praising the tech leader, Johnson admitted:

“We left on a great note, and then 24 hours later, he comes out swinging. I was surprised.”

Musk later blasted the bill’s fiscal consequences, stating:

“We need a new spending bill—one that doesn’t explode the deficit or hike the debt ceiling by another five trillion dollars.”

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO also backed a bold idea posted by Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, who shared a video of Warren Buffett proposing that any member of Congress who allows the deficit to exceed 3% of GDP be barred from reelection. The current U.S. deficit sits at roughly 6.3% of GDP.

Musk responded with three simple words:
“This is the way.”

As inflation continues to bite and national debt levels spiral out of control, conservative voters—especially older Americans concerned about retirement security and government waste—are watching closely.
