Newsom Laughs At New Trump Loss

California Democrat Gavin Newsom is gloating after a federal appeals court tried to derail President Donald Trump’s America First trade agenda.

The court struck down much of Trump’s global tariff strategy, claiming he overstepped his authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). The ruling set the stage for a high-stakes Supreme Court showdown that could decide whether America keeps tough tariffs—or bows to globalist pressure.

Tariffs Under Fire: America’s Workers at Risk

For years, Trump’s tariffs protected U.S. farmers, manufacturers, and steelworkers from cheap foreign imports. Without them, China, Mexico, and Canada would get the upper hand—while American jobs could be destroyed.

Experts warn taxpayers may even be forced to hand out massive refunds to foreign companies if the ruling stands.

Newsom’s Mockery Shows the Divide

Newsom’s office mocked Trump on X, posting: “If it’s a day ending in y, it’s a day Trump is found violating the law!”

This latest cheap shot comes as Newsom positions himself as a national foil to Republicans, attacking GOP redistricting efforts and even Trump’s use of the National Guard in U.S. cities.

Trump Fires Back: “America Will Win”

President Trump hit back on Truth Social, promising to fight to the end:

“Every tariff remains in place! A biased appeals court wrongly claimed they should be struck down, but America will prevail in the end. Losing these tariffs would be an economic catastrophe for our nation. We must stay strong—our farmers, our manufacturers, and our workers deserve nothing less.”

Trump warned that without tariffs, the U.S. will face crippling trade deficits and lose its competitive edge against both friends and foes.

Divided Nation Reacts

Liberals cheered the decision, with professors boasting that Trump has “lost at every stage.” Globalists celebrated too, claiming Congress—not the president—should control trade policy.

But Trump’s allies are standing firm. Retired Air Force General Robert Spalding praised the president’s resolve, while supporters online called it another example of Washington elites trying to stop Trump from defending American workers.

What Happens Next?

The appeals court gave Trump until October 14 to appeal. That means all eyes are now on the Supreme Court, where Trump is confident his America First agenda will be upheld.

If Trump wins, America keeps its protection against cheap imports and unfair trade practices. If not, it could be a devastating setback for U.S. sovereignty, farmers, and manufacturers.

One thing is clear: the fight is far from over, and President Trump is ready for the battle.
