In a significant turn of events out of Washington, D.C., White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has urged former First Lady Jill Biden to appear before Congress to address accusations of a cover-up involving Joe Biden’s reported health decline while he was in office.
House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) is spearheading the investigation and is demanding sworn testimony from senior Biden-era officials. Comer alleges these individuals helped hide key details about President Biden’s declining cognitive condition from the American people.
According to Comer, subpoenas could soon be issued to top names including former Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Hunter Biden, and Jill Biden herself.
Leavitt: Jill Biden “Complicit” in Hiding the Truth
Leavitt didn’t hold back in her comments to Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy:
“The former first lady needs to explain what she knew, when she knew it, and what role she played. This was a calculated effort to hide the truth.”
She added, “Americans with common sense can see the footage. They’ve seen the videos. They know Joe Biden wasn’t well—and Jill Biden was clearly involved in shielding him from public view. This wasn’t accidental. It was coordinated.”
Evidence Mounts: Biden’s Health Under Scrutiny
President Biden, 82, repeatedly claimed he was fit for a second term despite an increasing number of disturbing incidents. Falls, slurred speeches, visible confusion, and awkward moments fueled concerns from both parties. President Trump, then a candidate, warned repeatedly that Biden was suffering from cognitive decline, calling him “unfit” to serve.
In early 2024, President Biden’s physician stated he was “fit to serve” after a routine exam at Walter Reed. However, sources within the Democratic Party were reportedly growing increasingly alarmed behind the scenes.
By mid-2024, Biden withdrew from the race, opening the door for Kamala Harris—who ultimately lost in a landslide to President Trump. Many Democrats blamed Biden’s refusal to step aside earlier, accusing him of putting personal pride over party success.

The crisis deepened after reports confirmed Biden is now battling an “aggressive form of prostate cancer.”
Making matters worse, a new bestselling book co-authored by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’ Alex Thompson alleges that senior White House officials were well aware of Biden’s condition but concealed it. Tapper went so far as to claim the cover-up may be “worse than Watergate.”

Appearing on The View, Jill Biden dismissed the allegations, stating, “I did not create a cocoon around him… You saw him working.”
But Leavitt pushed back hard:
“She’s still lying. She’s still insulting the intelligence of the American people. And she must answer for it.”
Congress May Subpoena Biden Himself
In an explosive twist, Chairman Comer revealed he’s even “open” to bringing Joe Biden before Congress to testify under oath.
“We need to know who authorized the signing of documents with an autopen. If it leads to Joe Biden himself, then yes, we’ll go there,” Comer said during an interview with Sean Hannity.
Poll: Voters Distrust Biden More Than Trump on Health Transparency
According to a new YouGov/Economist poll, 61% of Americans believe Joe Biden was not honest about his health while in office. Only 31% said he was. By contrast, just 45% felt that President Trump had been less than transparent about his own health.
With more Americans demanding accountability, the pressure is mounting on Jill Biden, the former administration, and possibly even Joe Biden himself.
