Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., has introduced a new bill that seeks to establish President Donald Trump’s birthday, June 14, as a national holiday. The bill recognizes President Trump as the founder of “America’s Golden Age,” celebrating his leadership and the lasting impact he has had on the nation.
In a statement, Tenney pointed to several of Trump’s major accomplishments during his presidency, including his pivotal role in securing the Abraham Accords and his leadership in implementing the largest tax cuts in U.S. history. “President Trump’s contributions to our nation are undeniable,” she said. “From his foreign policy successes to his economic victories, he reshaped the course of American history in ways that will be felt for generations.”
The proposed bill would align Trump’s birthday with Flag Day, also celebrated on June 14, merging both commemorations into one. Tenney emphasized that by designating this day as a federal holiday, the United States would forever honor both Trump’s legacy and the importance of the American flag.
“No modern president has had a more profound impact on our country than President Trump,” Tenney continued. “During his time in office, both as our 45th and 47th president, he navigated challenges that no other leader had to face, all while pushing America forward. His leadership has sparked a renaissance in our nation’s pride, prosperity, and global standing.”
This legislation would cement President Trump’s place in American history, ensuring that future generations will understand the magnitude of his contributions. Just as we honor the Founding Fathers, this bill seeks to enshrine President Trump’s pivotal role in making America great again.
