Former President Donald Trump isn’t holding back after Nancy Pelosi announced her long-overdue retirement from Congress — and his message is pure fire.
On Friday morning, Trump unleashed a scathing Truth Social post, blasting Pelosi as a “broken political hack” who “illegally made a fortune” off insider stock deals while the American people suffered.
“Nancy Pelosi, the tired and failed political relic who tried to impeach me twice and came up short, is finally stepping down,” Trump said. “She got rich off shady stock deals, took advantage of the American people, and left this country worse off. I’m happy to see the Pelosi era come to an end!”
Trump Accuses Pelosi of Insider Stock Corruption
Trump’s fiery comments follow years of accusations that Pelosi and her husband, Paul Pelosi, used inside information from Congress to strike million-dollar stock trades.
According to Bloomberg data reported by the New York Post, Paul Pelosi’s trades in 2024 crushed Wall Street’s best hedge funds, earning a jaw-dropping 54% return — more than double the S&P 500’s 25% gain.
“Corrupt Nancy Pelosi and her so-called ‘brilliant’ husband somehow outperformed every hedge fund in the country,” Trump said earlier this year. “Two ordinary people don’t just outsmart Wall Street’s top experts — it’s clearly insider knowledge. When will someone actually investigate this?”
Pelosi’s Exit: The End of a Corrupt Political Dynasty
Pelosi, now 85, announced she will not seek reelection when her 20th term ends in 2026, closing out four decades of divisive leadership that conservatives say damaged America’s economy, borders, and unity.
Trump celebrated the announcement:
“She’s a very bad person, in my opinion, and I’m relieved she’s finally stepping away,” Trump said from the Oval Office. “Her retirement is one of the best things that’s happened for our country — she was a huge burden on America.”
Republicans widely agree that Pelosi’s leadership ushered in the radical-left agenda — from open-border policies to runaway inflation — that continues to hurt working Americans and retirees.
A Feud for the Ages: Trump vs. Pelosi
The Trump–Pelosi feud defined an era in Washington. From Pelosi’s two failed impeachment attempts against Trump to her infamous moment tearing up his 2020 State of the Union speech, the animosity was personal and political.
“She was rapidly losing control of her party,” Trump said Thursday. “I’m honored she impeached me twice and failed miserably both times. Nancy Pelosi is one of the most overrated politicians in American history.”
Democrats in Disarray as New Leadership Struggles
Pelosi’s departure comes as Democrats face growing calls for younger leadership, with figures like Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) scrambling to fill the void.
Insiders say Pelosi’s exit signals deeper panic in a party split between moderates and far-left progressives, as Trump’s comeback movement dominates the national conversation ahead of the 2026 midterms.
For conservatives, Pelosi’s retirement represents the end of an era of corruption, elitism, and contempt for the American people — and the start of a renewed America First resurgence under Trump’s leadership.
