In a stunning reversal, Elon Musk—once a loud critic of President Trump—has quietly written a massive $5 million check to Trump’s main super PAC, MAGA Inc., signaling that even America’s richest tech titan knows where the real power lies in 2024.
According to new campaign finance records, Musk made the donation on June 27—the very same day he also poured millions into the Senate Leadership Fund and Congressional Leadership Fund, both key war chests for electing strong Republican majorities in Washington.
The move comes after months of high-profile feuding between Musk and President Trump, much of it centered on the administration’s bold tax-and-spending reforms, which have prioritized American workers over corporate welfare.
Earlier this year, Musk stepped down from his brief stint as head of the Department of Government Efficiency. After leaving, he turned on the president, attacking his fiscal policies and even dredging up long-debunked rumors involving Trump and Jeffrey Epstein—tactics right out of the left’s smear playbook.
Trump didn’t take it lying down, warning that Musk’s companies, including Tesla and SpaceX, could lose their generous government contracts if the billionaire continued siding with globalists over the America First agenda.
But by mid-June, the temperature began to cool. President Trump showed leadership, saying he held “no hard feelings.” Musk, perhaps realizing he’d miscalculated, admitted he may have “gone too far.”
