President Biden has signed an executive order mandating mask use for federal contractors and government employees
YES
Especially outside where germs fly freely!
NO
This is a matter of individual choice
Then-candidate Biden promised that he would impose a national mask mandate when he gets elected as President. On his first day in office, he signed an executive order that required masks to be worn on all federal properties and by federal workers and contractors. Beyond that, the President arguably lacks the power to impose a unilateral mask mandate on the nation.
While there is no nationwide mask mandate, many states have mandates of their own. For example, blue states like New York, California, Washington, and Oregon have indoor masking requirements regardless of vaccination status, while red states like Texas, Florida, and Ohio do not have one.
