Trump Says Pelosi Ruined Democrat Party, You Agree?

Yes

I do.

No

I don’t.

President Donald Trump has spent years battling former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and their political rivalry remains one of the most recognizable clashes in modern Washington.

Trump has argued that Pelosi’s leadership damaged the Democratic Party, pointing to the intense partisan battles that dominated Washington while she was one of the party’s most powerful figures.

Pelosi served as speaker of the House twice and became the first woman in American history to hold the position. During her years in congressional leadership, she played a major role in shaping Democratic strategy and advancing some of the party’s most significant legislative priorities.

She was also at the center of repeated confrontations with Trump.

The two leaders clashed over immigration, federal spending, border security, health care and Trump’s agenda. Pelosi’s House majority also played a central role in Trump’s first and second impeachments, further intensifying the political divide between them.

Republican critics have long argued that Pelosi helped move Democrats away from political moderation and contributed to an increasingly confrontational atmosphere in Washington. From that perspective, her leadership helped transform elections into battles not merely over individual policies but over fundamentally different visions for the country.

Democrats and Pelosi’s supporters see her record very differently. They credit her with maintaining party discipline, passing major legislation and serving as an effective counterweight to Republican administrations. They would also dispute the suggestion that one congressional leader is responsible for the Democratic Party’s broader political direction.

The disagreement reflects a larger question facing voters: How much responsibility should longtime party leaders bear for the direction of American politics?

Trump clearly believes Pelosi deserves substantial responsibility for what happened to the Democratic Party during her years at the top of its congressional leadership.

Now Americans can weigh in.
