President Trump was permanently banned on Twitter on Jan 6, 2021, the day of the Capitol riot.
Twitter released a statement accompanying the ban saying, “After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them — specifically how they are being received and interpreted on and off Twitter — we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence.”
Mr.Trump is still banned on Twitter to this day. He is also banned on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Trump is currently suing Twitter, Facebook, and Google asking them to lift the ban.
