According to the Chinese State-Run Global Times, scientists from the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMCAS) have created genetically modified pigs that have high similarities to the human body. They are to be deliberately infected by Covid-19 for research.
Meanwhile, many experts cite the “Wuhan Lab Leak Theory” as the likely origin of the Covid-19 virus. The theory states that Covid-19 is an engineered virus that escaped the Wuhan Institute of Virology in Hubei province, where it was being researched. Scientists have still not found the animal host that would support a natural origin, leading them to believe that it is indeed an engineered virus.
