What is your preferred way to describe non-whites?

BIPOC is being used officially to categorize non-whites in different flavors: Black, Indigenous and People of Color

People of Color.

Colored People.

People of color is the common word used to describe the non-white ethnic groups in the US, including African Americans, Native Americans, Asian Americans, and Hispanics.

Recently, with the outbreak of the George Floyd protests in 2020, the term BIPOC started to gather some traction. It is more or less similar to meaning as “people of color” but puts more emphasis on the historic oppression of Black and Indigenous people, especially at the hands of whites.

The term “colored person” was used in America centuries ago and has the same meaning as “person of color.” However, the term was used to exclusively refer to Black people and is deemed offensive today.
